AKD advised All Seas Capital, a pan-European private capital fund that provides transformational capital solutions to leading founder- and entrepreneur-owned companies, in its hybrid investment in Sereni, the leading funeral services platform across Belgium, Germany and Poland, headquartered in Belgium. The investment will support Sereni’s buy-and-build strategy and further scaling of the platform.

Founded in 2016, Sereni modernises funeral services by combining local entrepreneurship with institutionalised support, offering empathy-driven solutions to grieving families.

The AKD team was led by Timothy Speelman (M&A) and further consisted of Pieter De Vos (M&A), Elien Van Malder (Tax) and a team of other lawyers that were involved in the due diligence process.
