As of 1 June, Lotte Schat, Maarten de Wit, Jan Missoul and Christine Delagaye will join the partnership at AKD. Their appointments reflect the firm’s long-term vision on talent development, strategic leadership and sector-driven growth. Christine is a driving force within AKD’s energy and climate transition practice. She supports clients in structuring and negotiating contracts for sustainable energy projects, including wind, hydrogen and carbon capture. She also advises on regulation, permitting and bankability of energy infrastructure. With her pragmatic approach, Christine ensures that sustainable projects go beyond paper and make real impact in the energy market.

Jan Missoul (Finance & Structuring)
Jan is part of AKD’s Brussels practice and specialises in project and real estate finance, with a focus on sustainable infrastructure. He advises financial institutions, developers and investors on complex financing processes, including those involving renewable energy and public-private partnerships. Jan applies his legal precision to help bring complex projects to a successful conclusion, turning sustainable ambitions into reality.

Lotte Schat (Transport & Trade)
Lotte specialises in international trade matters and has extensive experience in complex arbitrations and proceedings before Dutch courts. She guides projects from start to finish, with strong expertise in contracts and disputes, particularly in the energy and maritime sectors. Her involvement ensures clients can navigate international trade matters with confidence.

Maarten de Wit (Regulatory & Government / EU law)
Maarten advises on complex sustainable energy projects, including wind and hydrogen initiatives and grid operations. He supports both public authorities and private entities on legal issues relating to state aid, competition, and mergers. Maarten also represents clients in proceedings before European and national regulators. He helps clients find practical solutions in a rapidly evolving landscape, enabling them to confidently drive the energy transition forward.
