About Marjolein Snoek

Marjolein Snoek is a lawyer at AKD and part of the EU and Competition Law team. Within the context of her expertise of EU law, Marjolein specialises in competition law, public procurement law and State aid law. She also advises clients on the regulatory aspects of placing products on the market in the European Union. Her clients come from the public sector as well as the private sector.

Recent cases

Recently, Marjolein notified the Dutch competition authority ACM of the concentration of two companies that are active in the housing sector. She also advised a US-based client on the regulatory aspects of launching products on the market in the Netherlands and the European Union.

Education and activities

Marjolein obtained a Masters’ degree in Competition Law from King’s College London, where she also studied EU public procurement law and US Antitrust law. Additionally, Marjolein has a background in corporate and insolvency law, which she obtained through a double Masters’ degree programme at Radboud University Nijmegen and Nottingham Trent University.
