AKD advises on real estate investment transactions in the Netherlands. By combining real estate, notarial and tax expertise within a single integrated team, AKD is able to support clients throughout the full transaction process, from structuring through to completion.
In a recent mandate, AKD advised the seller, VPV Retail I B.V. (affiliated with family office VP Capital), on the legal aspects of the sale of shopping centre Nijhoff Passage in Delft to CBRE Investment Management (CBRE IM), acting on behalf of pension fund PME.
This project reflects the kind of retail investment mandate where the firm’s combination of real estate and transactional expertise makes a practical difference.
Nijhoff Passage, located on Martinus Nijhofflaan in Delft, comprises more than 5,800 m² of retail space, including an Albert Heijn XL supermarket, Etos, Gall & Gall and five day-to-day shops, together with an overhead car park providing around 355 parking spaces. The centre fulfils a central role in the daily amenities of the surrounding neighbourhoods.
The purchase price amounted to €39.75 million, according to the public registers. VPV Retail I had earlier acquired the property from Vorm Ontwikkeling. CBRE IM will add the asset to PME’s convenience retail portfolio, and was advised commercially by CBRE and legally by Dentons in the transaction.
In this project, the team consisted of Taco de Lange, Amber Sandifort, Michiel de Wit, Remco Bosveld, Jamaal Mohuddy and Silvia Lorenzo Barreiro.
