About Krista Willems

Krista Willems is a lawyer at AKD who specialises in private construction law and project development. Krista has experience in consultancy and litigation in a wide range of construction disputes relating to, for example, defective performance, amendments, contract extras and business interruption.

She also has extensive expertise in relation to the various common terms and conditions in the construction industry, such as the UAV 1989/2012, UAV-GC 2005 and DNR 2005/2011. In connection with this Krista regularly litigates in the civil courts and before the Arbitration board for the building industry in the Netherlands. 

Krista also assists property developers, local authorities and contractors with the formation of contracts. She helps them draft and assess cooperation, development and purchase agreements, as well as assisting with related issues. Krista advises clients on the formation of contracts and precontractual liability, the interpretation of contracts and purchase disputes.
