AKD advises the owner of the Euromast in Rotterdam

March 25, 2020

AKD advised the owner of the Euromast in Rotterdam, Mr. Tieleman, on the sale of the Euromast to the French investor M56.

Mr. Tieleman started with the exploitation of the Euromast tower almost 20 years ago. In 2016, he eventually became the owner of the Euromast tower. Since then, the tower has been renovated and the interior has been fully renewed. This resulted in a record number of visitors of almost 600,000 in 2019.

Investor M56 from Paris is specialized in tourist hotspots at great height. The Tour Montparnasse in Paris, the TV tour in Berlin, two observation towers in the US and now also the Euromast tower in Rotterdam belong to the portfolio of the French investor.

M56 is therefore the perfect successor of the Euromast. The planned developments by M56 are expected to enhance the international standing of Rotterdam in general and the Euromast tower as tourist hotspot in particular.

The AKD team consisted of Nathalie van Woerkom, Rosanne Vlasveld, Rianne Wessels, Reint Bolhuis and René Rietbroek. Robert Jean Kloprogge and Sjoerd Waagmeester of the Tax department of AKD were also involved.
