Breakfast Roundtable on EU Tenders

April 21, 2026 | 08:30 - 10:30 | Brussels

On Tuesday, 21 April 2026, from 08:30 to 10:30, AKD will host an interactive morning session on the key topics related to participation in tenders by EU institutions and agencies. The programme includes arrival from 08:30, followed by a breakfast roundtable and Q&A from 09:00 to 10:30.

During this session, Nikee Groot and Ayça Kul will examine the most relevant differences for tenderers between the applicable legal framework for the EU institutions and agencies (Financial Regulation 2024/2509) and the Procurement Directives 2014/24/EU, 2014/23/EU and 2014/25/EU. In addition, they will discuss the practical differences between procurement procedures by the EU institutions and agencies on the one hand and procurement procedures by national contracting authorities on the other hand. Topics will further include the relevant questions to ask during the Q&A phase, relevant issues when drafting the bid and the course of action following the award decision. The session will also highlight relevant case law and focus on practical points of attention for practitioners, while leaving ample opportunity for questions and interactive discussion.

This session is designed for lawyers, in house counsel, compliance professionals, procurement and tender/bid managers, industry representatives and others involved or interested in tenders by the EU institutions and agencies. A light breakfast will be provided as participants explore the most relevant developments coming from Brussels.

You can register for the Breakfast Roundtable using the register button.
