Financing & bankability of heat projects under regulatory change

June 9, 2026 | 14:00 - 17:00 | AKD Amsterdam

The financing of heat projects is becoming increasingly complex. As regulatory frameworks evolve – including the introduction of the Dutch Wet collectieve warmte (Wcw) – investors and lenders are faced with new types of risk and uncertainty that directly impact project bankability.

In collaboration with our Danish partner firm Hortendahl, we are pleased to invite you to an exclusive afternoon session on Tuesday 9 June, focused on the financing of heat projects and the challenges and opportunities ahead.

This is an exclusive session for professionals involved in the development, financing or operation of heat projects, including government bodies, financial institutions, (future) heat companies, producers, energy cooperatives and network operators.

Programme

  • Introduction and market overview: Harm Kerstholt (AKD)
  • Financing district heating in Denmark: Søren Hornbæk Svendsen and Renée van Naerssen (Hortendahl)
  • Speakers from Rabobank and BNG Bank
  • Panel discussion: With AKD, Hortendahl, BNG Bank and Rabobank, moderated by Eelkje van de Kuilen (AKD)

The session will take place on Tuesday 9 June at our office in Amsterdam, The Edge, from 14:00 to 17:00. Arrival is from 13:30.
