AKD has strengthened its leadership with the promotion of one new partner and the promotion of four lawyers to counsel across its offices in the Netherlands and Luxembourg. Spanning corporate, real estate, tax and dispute resolution, the promotions reflect the firm's continued investment in integrated, cross-border legal expertise.
In the Netherlands, David Molenaar joins AKD's partnership as a specialist in international M&A and corporate matters, with specific contributions to the sports and entertainment sector. Having built his career entirely within the firm, he is highly regarded for his practice with a distinct international dimension, drawing on an extensive global network to deliver strategic solutions for cross-border transactions and multinational clients. Nadine Voncken is promoted to counsel. As a civil law notary, she specialises in real estate and area development, advising investors, developers, financial institutions and public bodies on complex transactions, joint ventures, transformation projects and structuring matters.
In Luxembourg, three counsel promotions strengthen the firm’s transactional and dispute resolution capabilities:
- Sanja Vasic advises on international tax structuring, acquisitions and investment structures for private equity funds and multinational enterprises and assists clients with tax litigation matters.
- Stéphane de Watazzi focuses on complex commercial and corporate litigation, with particular experience in shareholder disputes and financial matters.
- Imède El Moudden advises on corporate law and private equity transactions, including incorporations, restructurings and liquidations of legal structures.
"These promotions reflect the talent and dedication that define AKD," says Carlos Pita Cao, Managing Partner. "The matters our clients bring to us rarely fit neatly into one practice area or one country. Building a firm that reflects that reality, specialised and connected across disciplines and borders, is what we have been working towards."
With these promotions, AKD continues to build integrated expertise across its Benelux practice.
