About Iordanis Arvanitidis

Iordanis is a Banking and Finance Associate at AKD’s Luxembourg office. He is a Luxembourg and Greece-qualified lawyer advising private equity sponsors, financial institutions and corporate borrowers on cross-border financing transactions, with strong experience in complex private equity-backed leveraged, fund and sponsor finance transactions. His practice spans a broad range of financing matters, including syndicated lending, acquisition finance, capital markets and structured finance, across sectors such as private equity, private credit, funds and real estate.

He is particularly involved in acquisition and restructuring transactions, where he supports the structuring and implementation of sophisticated financing and security arrangements. His approach is pragmatic and execution-focused, with an emphasis on delivering clear and workable solutions in a cross-border environment.

Iordanis is the founder of the firm’s Greek Desk, advising on cross-border matters involving Greece, Cyprus and the Benelux, with a focus on finance, shipping and investment management.

Alongside his professional activities, Iordanis has a strong interest in new technologies and is the founder of the Hellenic Blockchain Association, focusing on the study and dissemination of distributed ledger technologies. He is also actively engaged in legal AI initiatives and interested in the implementation of technology-driven solutions aimed at improving legal workflows and efficiency.

He is a member of the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA) and the Luxembourg Capital Markets Association (LuxCMA), and regularly contributes to legal publications and guides in the fields of finance and capital markets.
